Marinduque - Dec 22, 2019 |Favorite na Eksena Bago Bumaba ng Barko

Last na uwi namin ng Marinduque before the covid pandemic.
Video taken last Dec 22, 2019.

Bintakay, Mogpog, Marinduque

Bintakay, Mogpog, Marinduque

Bintakay is one of the barangays located in Mogpog, Marinduque.

You can easily reach this Barangay when you travel via roro thru the Balanacan Port Pier, also located in Mogpog.

From Balanacan to Bintakay is almost 15 to 20 minutes only via tricycle. From Balanacan, you can enter this barangay thru Brgy. Capayang or via Brgy. Laon in which you'll pass through Sitio Sihulan, already a part of Bintakay.

From Sitio Sihulan, almost all the roads are already cemented. With remaining few that are still for the project of the barangay to finished and be cemented also. You will also pass a small cement bridge that will lead you to the Sitio called "Ibaba - also part of the Proper 1". You will pass through also the waiting shed to Sitio Biyaya also proudly known Sitio Buaya.

After this, you will reached the Bintakay Elementary School which was founded in 1912.

From here also, you can clearly see the Bintakay river that sometimes dry, and if lucky, with times that clear water flowing on it. Water from here came in the mountainous area of Sitio Guintuan and Sitio Lunsaran.

You can also see a legendary Bigaa tree proudly still standing beside the river, with a bamboo tree and a supportive dike beside. This tree according to elders is over 100 years old of age and still graciously standing since the beginning of the World War II.

All kids raised in Bintakay had surely a swimming experience beside this tree that is situated right beside the river. In their times, no constructed dike yet and this part was still deep in which they can dive freely.

The Bintakay Church is also located here where you need to pass through before you finally reached the Brgy. Bintakay Barangay Hall and the court.

Adventures that you can do in Bintakay:
1. Swimming in Miray Falls located in Sitio Lunsaran, Brgy. Bintakay, Mogpog, Marinduque
2. Swimming in Busay Falls located in Sitio Guintuan, Brgy. Bintakay, Mogpog, Marinduque

Explore Everywhere While You Have Time

Explore Everywhere While You Have Time

As many millennial's saying today, "YOLO". You only live once. Travel and explore the world while you could and you still can. Yeah, they really have a point with that. When are you going to travel? When you are too old and your ankle is already shaking? When arthritis is attacking?

Travel now why you can. You can do it with your family and loved ones. While some travel alone. Some friends I knew travels alone. According to them it is more relaxing and more thrilling, you can go anywhere and anytime you want. Without caring for anybody because you preferred travelling alone.

When we travel, we just not reach our dreams of travelling but our souls also travel. A memory that our mind and soul remembers. We could reminisce even we became old. Memories surely you'll be happy looking back.

No money can't  buy the happiness and joy brought by our travel memories. We may have not take the pictures of every places we have been but this is stored in our own memory card, our brain. We may have Alzheimer but we may still be sharing that memories to our loved ones.

Tuloy Kayo Dine Sa Gasan (You are Welcome Here in Gasan)

Gasan has been the gateway of Marindueños to Mindoro province vice versa. Like a short cut wherein you don't need to ride thru Balanacan to Lucena, then from Lucena to Batangas International Port just to ride  a roro to Mindoro.

Yes, its like a fast way but if you are afraid of the waves of the sea it is advisable if you will just travel the other way I've previously mentioned.

But if you are in a hurry you have no choice but to ride that motor boat. Anyways, it is not the usual motor boat that is almost good only for 5 to 10 people. As far as I know, maximum capacity is 50 (for verification).
